Critical Thinking Levels of EFL Undergraduate Students Universitas Brawijaya. Objective: This study investigated the levels CT undergraduate students. Methods: Employing mix-method design and two instruments (1)Watson Glaser Appraisal (2) interview, involved 352 students who are in first year their study. Findings: Related to CTS, it showed that most can determine answer correctly terms (1) Deduction 63.07%; Arguments 62.16%; (3) Interpreting information 59,92%; (4) Assumptions 50,19%; (5) Inferences 37.15%. In sum, only 54.40% indicate low ability. It is line with results interview which postulates 57% do not really understand what how improve CTS they need some help it. Conclusion: The University should provide learning activities increase especially inferencing dimension. Keywords: EFL, reading, assessment. Abstrak: Tingkat Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa S1 di Tujuan: Penelitian ini menyelidiki tingkat berpikir kritis mahasiswa S1. Metode: Menggunakan desain penelitian campuran dan dua instrument Penilaian Watson-Glaser wawancara, melibatkan mahasiwa yang sedang berada tahun pertama studi mereka. Temuan: Terkait keterampilan kritis, menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar dapat menentukan jawaban dengan benar dalam Pengambilan kesimpulan Argumentasi Menginterpretasi informasi 59.92%; Asumsi 50.19%; Inferensi, Secara keseluruhan, hanya 54,40% kemampuan rendah. Sejalan hasil wawancara menyatakan tidak begitu memahami apa bagaimana cara meningkatkan mereka membutuhkan bantuan untuk meningkatkannya. Kesimpulan: seharusnya menyediakan pembelajaran aktifitas-aktifitas membantu mahasiswa, terutama dimensi inferensi. Kata kunci: membaca, penilaian. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202221
